The foundations of the Hungarian-Latvian relations is set by our alliance in NATO and membership in the European Union. Our common values and interests provide a good basis and many platforms for practical cooperation. Bilateral visits and consultations are regular on political and technical levels alike between our Governments and Parliaments. Our history have a lot of similar features, that is why we understand each other easily. Given this background, continuous dialogue is quite natural. The Single European Market provides all the conditions for Hungarian companies to look for new markets or to invest in Latvia. Hungary also offers excellent opportunities for Latvian businesses and tourists. Cultural cooperation is also a great opportunity to learn more about each other and to get to know each other.
