On 27 March 2018 the Latvian-Hungarian Business Forum took place in Riga, hosted by Latvian Investment and Development Agency (LIAA). From the Hungarian party the event was opened by dr Csaba Balogh, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. Eight Hungarian companies travelled to Riga to conduct partner meetings on the spot. At the event the Hungarian National Trading House (MNKH), the National Investment Promotion Agency (HIPA) and the Hungarian Tourism Agency (MTÜ) made presentations on the business environment and economy of Hungary as well as the trade promotion possibilities, attracting large audience. At the food and wine presentation organized by the Embassy of Hungary in Riga, among others, dishes made from the “Mangalica” pork meet, the “Hungarian Grey Cattle” beef meat and seven different high quality wines from five wine regions of Hungary were presented.
