Ambassador Ferenc Bányai paid a courtesy call on H.E. Ināra Mūrniece, Speaker of the Saeima of the Republic of Latvia. During the meeting there was a mutual understanding that relations between the two countries are excellent. The Speaker expressed her gratitude for the Hungarian contribution to the security of the Baltic States. A topic of the Hungarian cultural programs linked to the Centennial Year of Latvia was touched upon. The parties agreed that there is a need for strengthening of the bilateral economic relations.
